Got my Blitz Manual from Lulu

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Got my Blitz Manual from Lulu

Tok about a week to arrive. It's very well made, feels like a professional book (although the back of it being blank is a bit weird).

I need to make sure this won't be another book that goes on the shelf and never comes off.

By ordering that book, puki is now your biggest fan.., which means you have to give him all your media and blueish checker images. :P

no, I'm keeping all my checkered images, I need them to tile my kitchen floor.

Just what the hell is going on here?

Got my Blitz Manual from Lulu

Manual.

This 'manual' (as you call it) - this tomb of knowledge - this bible of our Church of Blitz is, in fact, the brand new, PRINTED, Blitz3D Programming Manual ( www.lulu.com/content/388950 ).

It currently has a Lulu Sales Rank of 379.

That is a fantastic Sales Rank - basically, it is in 379th place out of tens of thousands of books.

this tomb of knowledge

Heh... I don't think that's quite what Mark had in mind... ;-)

Interesting - I have always thought the word 'tomb' could also mean a book - a big book. I just checked the online dictionary and apparantly not.

Sniff.

Tome Reader.

I meant tome.

Sniff

I knew I was right - both words sound the same.

Apart from the pronunciation, yep.

>this tomb of knowledge

Am I dead?..... probably yes :P

Actually, I'm starting to think a series of Blitz3D books would be cool. Written by Veteran Blitzers. You could have each book focus on a different genre of game. i.e. How to write platformers in blitz, how to write FPS's. How to write RPG's, etc....

That'd be really cool.

Could also have a book on the best way to write tools for games including animated your meshes, producing sound effects and maps, aswell as distribution and installation details for any games you write. It'd make Blitz the number one choice for new games programmers (even though it already is).
