BlitzMax - fasm2as doesn't exist

As mentioned above, that binary doesn't seem to exist on a fresh OS-X instalation of blitzmax. Searching google showed one other person with that problem, the suggestion to him was to install previous patches before the latest, which fixed things for him (back when 1.22 was latest).

Not for me, I tried installing and patching straight to 1.24, and I tried installing all the intermediate patches in order too, that binary doesnt exist. The source is included yes, but I cant even build that because it is needed to build things.

This is on a brand new intel macbook.

Any solutions?

So, how was this issue resolved? I've tried patching, repatching, and still getting the same error with fasm2as. What is the solution?

HOW STUPID!! For some reason, fasm2as was getting deleted when you upgrade. Re-xract the 1.18 version and replace the file into the bin directory.
