Irrlicht:where to find irrbmax.mod

Hi,

downloaded "2007_05_21_irrlicht.mod.zip"
from gman´s website.
Irrlicht-examples don´t compile:
"can´t find interface for module gg.irbmax"
It´s not included in the zip file.

Anyone an idea where I can find it?

install the mod folder

- copy the irrlicht.mod folder under the blitzmax mod folder so you should have something like:

c:\blitzmax\mod\irrlicht.mod

where c:\blitzmax is the folder of your blitzmax installation.

- for windows copy the DLL

copy the Irrlicht.dll and D3DX81ab.dll files from the lib\win folder into your windows system32 directory.

What H&K said, except you need to put in inside a gg.mod folder, so you end up with a directory structure of something like...

C:\Program Files\BlitzMax\mod\gg.mod\irbmax.mod

I have redownloaded the mod from:
http://www.gprogs.com/irrlicht.mod/2007_05_21_irrlicht.mod.zip

There is no irrbmax.mod in the zip.

There is irrlicht.mod
and in the folder are lib/core.mod/b3d.mod.

Only a "irrbmax.bmx" is in core.mod

I had put irrlicht.mod under \mod
and under \gg.mod .
Both doesnt work.

When you open 2007_05_21_irrlicht.mod.zip, what is the first/root DIR called?

Thats right its called "irrlicht.mod". Whats that you say, the whole zip downlowd is the irrlicht.mod

The path:
c:\blitzmax\mod\irrlicht.mod
I although tried:
c:\blitzmax\mod\gg.mod\irrlicht.mod
and rebuilded modules with Blide.

Once you have moved irrlicht.a to you Bmax lib folder, and Irrlicht.Dll and D3Dx81ab.dll to your win/system folder, you need to delete the Lid dir in irrlicht.mod.

(That is delete irrlicht.mod/lib)

also, you will definately need to redownload the samples. gg.IrrBMAX no longer exists and hasnt for quite a while. a couple of major releases ago (Release 2006_09_12) i reorganized the directory structure of the mod. the new base mod is Irrlicht.Core.

i think to clean things up you need to get the mod installed properly and then try the newer samples.
