Here you can see he doesn't reply anymore, and even worse, he removed access to this very interesting Fast Image.

Here in Fast Text, he also removed access to the lib.

MixailV has left. :(

He didn't leave, he was banned.

Ooh. What did HE do? :O

He threated to release an alternative to B3DSDK for free, which was basically Blitz3D wrapped as a DLL, with the aim of denting B3DSDK sales because he got in a paddywack that B3DSDK was HIS idea. Then he tried to harvest user passwords from this site with a dodgy script.

What he said^^

Didn't realise it was him that tried to leech passwords, though. Although in hindsight, I'm not at all surprised.

???? Really?

Now can someone recreate FastImage, because I need it.

Cheers.

Just get it from Russia. Copyright does not exist, and everything is free there.

I hear doncaster is like russia only there's gfk.

Except I don't live in Doncaster any more. Haven't for nearly two years now.

Well, the idea has floated around for years, no point in giving BRL a chinese burn for something that a load of people have wanted/suggested since Blitz3D was released!

And with the password thing, good riddens to bad eggs is all I can say!

Well, look. Lets at least try and see it from his perspective.

He wrapped B3D in to a dll allowing it to be used with many other languages and thus not tying it to the B3D compiler. Morally wrong, yes, but the license didn't forbid him from doing this. That's not his fault for jumping on to an opportunity.

So he releases it and gets blasted by everyone on the forum and is made to cease and desist the sale of this b3d wrapper only to find out that 2-3 months later the Blitz3D SDK is released. Being him for a second, it doesn't take genius thought to to put 2 and 2 together and think that he was deliberatley blocked from selling his wrapper because BRL were planning something similar and didn't want to lose sales.

I think it's this that got him all boiled up with rage which, although wrong, was kind of understandable if you were to put yourself in his shoes.

I'm not defending his attempt to harvest passwords off the site with that hack though because that was wrong.

But thats the thing Amon, if he is capable of trying to steal passwords from an online forum, god knows what he can do if you download something from him in an executable form!!!

SDK or no SDK... There are ways and means of protesting, grabbing peoples personal info inst one of them, that, to me, is a big 'up yours' message to the community as a whole, not just to BRL!

Which is never good!

Good riddance, I say.

feck, thats bad!!!!
