Develop your own wii games! (sort of)

if you go to miniclip.com using the wii, you get a special page with flash games that work well with the wii. So technically, you could host your own flash games site, navigate to it from your Wii and play games.

I know it's not prper wii developemtn, but I had some fun playing some games on it last night. (which is good as the drought of real wii games continues)

I've been thinking of this for a while. Is it possible to read web pages from SD cards or USB sticks with the Wii?

no idea mate, I'd think not though as you don't put in http:// for th web address so i think it may be hard wired to only look online. Nothing to stop you having a local machine running apache though and navigate to it's internal i.p. from the wii.

Hmm, seeing this makes me wonder if Nintendo has any campaign planned to be similar to XNA for the X360 at all... I could see a special section of Virtual Console dedicated to indie games/homemade games rather easily if Nintendo finally catches on to what Microsoft's been doing.

nintendo could do very well with that sort of idea. I'd definitely want to try it out.

Should be cool. After all, Microsoft did great with XNA, you could emulate games on the PSP, and PS3 has Linux, so you could probably run some compiled BMax games on there, hey. Looks like consoles are getting to be more like mini computers every generation.
