So Should I be worried?

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/So Should I be worried?

Was this Java attack ( http://www.blitzmax.com/logs/userlog.php?user=1&log=1043) something that should worry me? Or was it something more worrying to BRL?
(Yes I do realise that it probably wasnt the CIA just out to get ME), but it cannot really effect me negatively can it?

Nobody really knows.

I changed my password to be safe.

*sigh*, and now everyone knows it's "be safe"

;)

What IF someone did get your password? What is that going to allow them to do that would bother you?

What is that going to allow them to do that would bother you?
1. Change your password.
2. Illegally download your updates.
3. Stop YOU from getting updates.
4. Post stuff here under your name and get you banned.

This really should have been a bit more of an announcement.....

Well all I was worried about was
5) Get my Shareit payment detail
6) Spend all my money
7) Spend loads of money I havent got
8) Me declared bankrupt, thown out of my house, all my possetions repossesed
9) Die, a slow agonising death when my kidneys fail because of the Meths Ive been drinking

oh and
*sigh*, and now everyone knows it's "be safe"
Whats the sarcastic version of lol? REASH? (Rolls eyes and shakes head?)

I'd not worry about it. The exploit only worked in IE6 and the guy formatted the syntax for the javascript incorrectly.

If he had formatted it right, members using IE6 would of been redirected to a blank screen with his URL to the php script in your address box.

I tried his method using a preview post as not to affect any members and it didn't work, he'd made a mistake.

However I have emailed Mark with the correct method in case it is of use to bolster up site security.

I only just read the link today:

I use bb.com
