Indie forum (seeing as an SDK forum was added)

So then a while back an Indie forum seemed popular and Simon was looking into it. Any progress Simon?

Yeah, I thought it might've appeared at the same time as the new B3D SDK forums...

I just graduated from my anger management course as valedictorian. I think an Indie Forum is a splendid idea now. (seriously)

I had to look that up. Seems it's US/Canada only.

So I guess we're not getting this then? Seeing as a new forum was just added but this still hasn't.

Why would you need one? I am not aware of any projects here that aren't independent.

I'm aware of a few which aren't independent but that completely misses the point. The point was to have a forum for developers who are looking at development as a business to discuss with like-minded individuals without having to wander off to another forum, further diluting the already-waning community here.

As it stands there is nowhere for these sort of discussions to happen so they end up in General Discussion, where they are mixed in with videos of somebody falling off a mechanical bull. Or whatever.

I remember it coming up before but nothing ever materialised.

It's a good idea for blitzers to discuss all things indie ie starting projects, team discussion etc in a seperate forum area.

7 months since I last posted in this thread.

I generally post stuff about game dev on either SyntaxBomb or IndieGamer now.

It would still be nice here.

I would think this ranks pretty highly seeming as Brucey has his own forum now ;-D
