Just reading this old story regarding a public dust-up between Clive Sinclair and one of the top bods at Acorn back in the day....

The interesting thing is, it says Amsoft were going to cash in on this by creating a computer game "Business is War", but that the creator, Marcus Altman had lost the source code. This immediately made me think of the title "Electro Freddy" which blatantly had a pic of a guy looking very much like Sir Clive on the front cover and sees you loading computers onto a conveyor with him chasing you... and lo and behold, it's by Marcus Altman. Maybe he didn't lose that source code after all!

I don't remember this.

But Puki, you're only 5, so it's not surprising ! ;-)

Those were the days tho... It's unlikely you'll see the Gate's or Jobs' of this world in any pub. And as for underhanded advertising... Can you imagine!?!?!

I don't remember this either - is it a fake? Just can't imagine Sir Clive getting all punchy...

I'm sure it was a pretend fight staged for publicity ;-)

He would have run over im in a C5 if he could get on top of a hill LOL

I've still got issue 1 of cpc user at home. And it's in perfect condition. Do you reckon it would ebay for much?

I assumed it was true, but who knows... it's not the April issue.

Those were indeed the days... when you REALLY had access to the system at the lowest level.

Telesto - no idea. Try it and see.
