Blitz3DSDK

Look's like skid is cooking something new (or old) for us:

http://nitrologic.blogspot.com/2007/05/blitz3dsdk-is-now-ready-to-rumble.html

Meh... So, someone created a blog, wrote that, and thats all they did? :P

If Simon was doing this, it'd have been mentioned here surely? :P

Also, tell me, surely there's MiniB3D that suits that hole in the market?

If (and i'm guessing here) this a port of the Blitz3D DX7 engine to a BMax mod, then it servers a different, albeit overlapping, market than MiniB3D.

SimonH made MiniB3D to port his game to the Mac. It has a large subset of the Blitz3D commandset. Large enough to port his game. It's stable but not yet battleproven but it is futureproof as Klepto's mod shows.

If my guess is right (probably not), then we have here the very stable, aging, simple and very compatible Blitz3D engine for Max. Which runs on a staggering amount of hardware and has been used for numerous games.

Again, I'm guessing.

That's actually I want, however portability is a plus if possible(might never happen tho).

Wait a minute.

Nitrologic was "Skids". However, I'm seeing a domain registration in the name of a "Brent Neufeld".

I've a feeling that "Skid's" old site has been swallowed up. We need confirmation as to whether this Blog is his or not.

/me gets out the popcorn...

...it's like a spy story - uhhh

Mmm, there is more stuff floating about:

I want some answers - Mother says so.

Wow, I got my first Google-Wack thing with this:

Arm held aloft, I accept the adulation from all those who have never succesfully 'wacked'.

I acknowledge the applause of my fans - you may now rise from your knees.

Please download the Filax's program, and explain me what the hell should be 'Blitz3dSDK.dll'
[we need James Bond...] :D

If you look with an editor inside the Blitz3dSDK.dll you'll see all the Blitz3DCommands eg. "bbCreateBrush" etc.

On the "Register product" page under "Account", "Blitz3D SDK" is in the "Select product" list. :o

Woah! I didn't notice that.

Does anyone have any clue as to what it means? ie. does it mean an sdk module for blitzmax or a dll version of Blitz3D for use with other compilers?

How much will it cost? When will it be released?

This is ruining my chances of ever getting Blitz3D 2.

Good job Cobra3D is around the corner.

Well, i'm going to buy them all. :) There's no sense in not having every 3D Engine. How could you call yourself a professional if you didn't own every 3D Engine.

Soon, with the money I save from Tesco Cashaback, I shall be commencing the purchase of the Doom Engine. :)

Oooh, oooh.

I just go the Blitz3dSDK.dll

What do I do with it?

I know - let's take it apart - see what is inside.

LIAR. :)

Where did you get ut from? Is it the BRL Blitz3D SDK or the russian scam version?

Hold on, if BRL are gearing up for a new product release, how come its doing the rounds already... And it seems, easily available to the french?

*Dabz ponders*

Dabz

"Filax" and "Sibly" are already linked - we knew about this before.

Hi folks,

BRL are indeed about to release a Blitz3D SDK for use with C, C++ etc.

However there are still several license issues to be worked out, and the version released does not include the appropriate paperwork and is technically a 'leaked' version.

Feel free to poke around, but please do not redistribute in any shape or form!
