Not sure how to describe this... So here it goes...
Right, say I had a remote file called blah.dat which was getting updated regulary.
Then, at any point, when I open a webpage, the file streams down to the local machine, which automatically opens up a local application (plugin) and is presented in the actual page (with the application).
Not really like OSAkit, or igLoader in the way it works... More like java applets!
Is this possible by any chance, and how the hell would I go about it as I've been googling for quite a while now with no luck, or I've overlooked the bleeding obvious?
Cross platform would be good, but currently, I only use IE... So if anything is IE specific, I'm good to go! :)
