I just completed episode 1... I thought the ending was supposed to be Alyx hanging off a steel gantry or something, and falling? In my ending, I killed the strider, we got on the train, we were getting out of the citadel, the citadel sent out the transmission, a load of ships seemed to flee the tower, everything went white, Alyx said "Oh my God", and then the credits rolled. Is there an alternate ending?

At the end of the credits, there is a video. All you have done is stopped watching before the end.
haven't played it yet, but for anyone who doesn't know already.. there is ALWAYS something after the credits.. That is the assumption you should go by these days.. the ones that don't are so few and far between that it isn't a bother to watch the credits all the way through.

I waited in the Cinema for the End of the Credits for "Total Recall", cos I thought the Memory people would wake him up at the end. But they closed the curtains and stopped the film before the end of the credits

Yep mrtricks, I just finished episode 1 about 2 weeks ago. That's the ending afaik. Can't wait for episode 2!
If you really want, you can find the trailer with a little search for media on Steam. If I were you, I'd just wait for it to be a surprise :)

LOL, as it turns out, those clips arnt actuly going to be in Episode 2, and in fact the story they imply doesnt happen. I finished episode 1 a few weeks back. That bit with alyx is part of the trailer for episode two, it played on mine automatically. I downloaded the steam version of ep1, don't know if that made a difference.
