Change Titlebar Icon

Hi. I´m looking for a way to cghange the ichon in the titlebar of a programm window. Has anybody an idea how to do this?

You should probably repost this in one of the programming forums - you haven't even specified BlitzBasic/Plus/3D/Max.

I think the forum should show behind a user's name what version of Blitz someone's using.

Wouldn't really work in cases where people have more than one version.

In my case it'd show BlitzBasic, Blitz3D, BlitzMax, MaxGUI (which would be no help at all).

It means that if someone asks for something that the one who answers could know in which syntax one can explain things, and which not. If someone asks some routine without stating the language then I wouldn't know in which syntax to reply. Full BMax with types? Classic Blitz and Graphics, B+ and widgets? etc.

Everyone gets that. It's still a bit of a dodgy idea I'm afraid -- what I might or might not have bought from BRL is private information, frankly, and they'd have no business broadcasting it to everyone else. Just stick questions in the relevant language's forum. That way everyone knows what you're asking about and -- just as importantly -- other people looking for info about that language will have an easier time too because they won't have to trawl every forum.

I'm sure that starwar here had NO idea this was language specific. I'm guessing he was thinking it was something you could set after the game was compiled.

I agree, I was referring only to the notion of having our purchases listed.

Can't find any free utils for changing the title-bar icon, though -- ResHack doesn't touch it if I remember right.

You can do it in Blitzmax. Other than Blitzmax? I dunno. Which is why I brought the issue up. ;)

i'd like to know as well, (if hes asking about b3D) resH only touchs the normal exe icon and in the task bar, it won't change up by the title..

*I just use Tipex and a felt-tip pen to draw the icon every time I run the app.

You need specific code depending on your version of Blitz, but it is possible.
