I've been playing around with using Maya to make 3d game models. I used to use Lightwave but I'm starting to like Maya a little better now. Unfortunately, I'm not quite sure how to get models out of Maya in into Blitz 3D.
Anyone have experience with this and can give me some adivce?
Usually what I do is Polytrans for Maya plug in (quite expensive, 500US$) but you can convert anything you want to 3DSMAX and from that B3D, including animation done in Maya..of course its expensive option for hobby..so, you can simply export 3DS file from Maya and then play with it in any other available tool as well as convert to B3D...
If I did that I think I would rather get Right Hemipheres Deep Explorations. That convert from and to just about anything.
Polytrans do the same thing...Maya-Max is just one conversion that great plug in do...
from maya export to 3ds, then use milkshape or unwrap to import the 3ds model and export the b3d model :)
