trying to find a freeware graveyard 2d shoot em up

Hi everyone

I am trying to find out the name of a freeware 2d side on graveyard shoot em up that was programmed in compiled quickbasic I think using one of the enhanced graphics libraries such as directqb, it had good graphics, music and sound effects for its time, the game took place in the graveyard and movement was like wizard of war around the maze/screen with power ups, it was single player and offline. I've searched but found nothing not even a screenshot, any help is appreciated so that I can find and replay this simple yet rather good game.

Thanks for trying I appreciate it. It was more arcade than platform you couldn't jump you just moved around the closed playfield/maze shooting and dodging the graveyard creatures and collecting power ups, it was made around 2000-2001 I think but the name still escapes me and I can't find any sign of it on any websites, or my hard drive, lots of them mention wetspot 1 and 2 which I also stumbled upon back then and I have them already, sorry I can't be more specific.

Ghouls and Ghosts was a horizontal scrolling platformer no as ReBootBug described.

I think I know the one you are talking about. Name was something like 'Gloomy Nights and the Living Dead', though I probably got that totally wrong. I think I got it off BlitzCoder.com. I think that site is still open for downloads somewhere if you do a web search.

Ever play that flash game with mega man and ghosts 'n' globlins combined?

Thanks everyone especially Nomen luni that was it indeed 'Gloomy Nights and the Living Dead' funny how the name escaped me, now I can finally revisit this little game. After all the searching I did manage to find quite a few interesting flash games with a twist, but I haven't seen the one you mentioned Grey Alien will have to take a look.
