Gamesbanner Networks

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Gamesbanner Networks

I thought it might be interesting if we share experiance on Gamesbanner Networks and if it is a good or a bad thing to use.
I must say, my experiance is that they are consumed by free flash gamewebsites packed with advertisement, so it actualy serves as distraction from instead of an increase of sales.

My thought was that it maybe a good thing to have a "commerical-only" Gamesbanner Network where only people that actualy sell games, and have a decent website, are allowed to join.

I steer clear of these types of ad networks. Where you earn real money is by advertising products to your visitors that are relevant to their needs.

okey. and how do you aim for your visitors then? advertise in local newspapers or?

*cough*

Shouldn't you just finish your poorly conceived copy protection scheme first?

you're rude.

Indeed.

ehh right.. :? i love you to. -xxx-

Go complain about it in your own topic please, or the one that is already there. and b.t.w. it takes time before things like that take shape, and if there is a great disinterest, there is no point of making it. That is the main reason i started about it, to find that out.
And I rather first finish other things before starting on something new, just because you think i have to start and finish that idea yesterday or whenever.

i noticed you posted 16.090 posts o_O what do you do for living? moderate the forums like that?

I would think you'd be better off trying to sell banners on your site, if you wanted banners in the first place. At least that way you'd have some control over which banners are shown, and you won't inadvertently be advertising a competing product.

Yes, i think that is a much better idea actualy. But then, how do you get all the visitors?

I know there are some good tools of the AofSP that sumbit your game over hundreds of download websites. Did you (or someone else) ever tried otherways of advertising?
