Weird as I didn't ask them oo, but it's free advertising so cool. Someone obviously played them and took screen shots and pasted in the text from the game descriptions and the readme docs, must have taken a little while.

It's weird when someone picks up your software like that.

Similar thing happened with my Earth Screensaver. I noticed a huge burst of traffic on one day, due to it being linked from some 'StumbleUpon' website. In actual fact it seems like StumbleUpon is a Firefox plugin which allows users to share links with like-minded users.

I suppose the best way to take advantage of it is to put google ads on your page.

Is there anyway to stop people linking directly to your executables?

Its cool stuff none-the-less. At least in this manner.

Thast also good to know abot the StumbleUpon feature SonicFactory. I had no idea there was such a thing in FF.

There's ads on the page already :-)

They do link direct to my downloads but only on the "external mirror" option. One slight worrying thing is the text said "free for personal AND commercial use", well the music and graphics most certainly are not free for commercial use (I say this in the readme) and nor is distributing the software for commercial use (e.g. on a CD) allowed. So it's odd they turned my "free games" into that...

Maybe you should make mention to them? I guess people will get the wrong information otherwise if they don't read your files.

Yeah I ought to but it's just more work and the free advertising is useful.

any publicitys good publicity...? Maybe you should offer to provide a link to their site if they would do you the honour on theirs (not just simply on the external mirror option).
