Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Looks like X-Com ufo defense, finally got an updat Yeah, I've been waiting for this. Is there anywhere selling it to the UK yet? Last time I looked it was for US customers only.
This is in euros so should be for non-US although I haven't bought it... yet.
still doesn't look right
Looks good to me.
I've been trying to play UFO: Afterlight but there are too many damn managment screens for my liking. Argh...

Anyone played it yet? I loved laser squad and Xcom.
And rebel star, and rebelstar raiders.
Anyway apocalypse was the best of the gallops ones, because it wasnt turn based

Some of the game triggers are stupid. Because if you dont "Change sides" (For example), the way they expect you to, then the story triggers dont happen. I dont agree with the Managment screens problem though, cos for a couple of them (at least), you hardly ever go to them at all.Anyway apocalypse was the best of the gallops ones, because it wasnt turn based
I miss rebelstar, I want a proper completed remake of that, while keeping the full simplicity!
I prefer turn-based, but it's not as 'realistic', it's like letting the enemy team walk for a bit, then you walking for a bit.

Turn based can be realistic if you make it more like the combat mission series by battlefront (www.battlefront.com). In that both sides issue orders in their 'turn phase' and are played out in real time by the squads through a short space of time (1 minute) which is precalculated based on the orders given, physics of projectiles, morale, terrain, and the like. They work well multiplayer though and not so good single player as the AI is not great.
Yeah, I forgot to mention that, like Laser Squad Nemesis, also.
