Question for native russian blitzers...

I have this small piece of text I'd like to know how it looks in russian language:

If someone could post here that in russian language using cyrillic letters and all I'd be very grateful!

Oh, and "shield" means small flip-up cover/lid of a hand held device, not medieval shield!

I re-translated russian text to english and got this:

"WARNING YOU WILL NOT LENGTHEN SCREEN FOR I.R. OF THE ACTIVITY" :)

try using google language tools to translate this:

converting it back results in:

TBH, I'm not shure that I've understood english phrase correct.

Do you mean that you have got handheld device and shield that protects this device must not be open when user uses (I)nfra(R)ed communication?

If so, than russian version of the phrase will be:

Âíèìàíèå! Êðûøêà íå äîëæåíà áûòü îòêðûòà âî âðåìÿ ïåðåäà÷è ïî ÈÊ

@rtur, it looks like the forum isn't displaying the phrase correctly. It might work if you edit the post again though.

Just change the character encoding to Cyrillic if your browser supports it, and it'll look fine, I'll piccify @rthur's response for those who can't.....

Firefox->ChracterEncoding->AutoDetect->Russian seems to do the trick.

Internet Explorer-->View-->Encoding-->More-->Cyrillic (Windows), if IE floats yer boat.

Although Artur's post and Genexi's pic do not match up in IE.

He edited his post apparently, text is different (and now quoted), and doesn't match-up on my end either.

Using Cyrillic (Windows-1251) here, although there's also that KOI8-R variant, although I don't know the differences aside from the fact KOI8-R looks like it's all in caps.

Hey nice tip on the encoding. I've got to code the Russian translation of Oz soon.

Yes, something like that. Who knows, it's a military device and military likes to be cryptic... don't have the manual and don't really know what they mean with that warning label text... I just wanted a decent translation so that when I'm showing the thing around russian people won't laugh at me :)

And what the device is and why I needed the translation... well, it's off topic for sure and I'll post something about it during the next few weeks when I finally can go to field and take few decent snapshots.
