Revised top 5 games
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Revised top 5 games
Treated myself to a xbox (the old one), got a copy of gothamcity racing 2, it kicks Gturismo 4 into fits( I am a GT4 fan...) Anyways, this week I have been mainly playing:
1: Gotham City Racing 2 XBOX
2: Golden Eye Rogue Agent XBOX
3: Pikmin GC
4: NWN2 PC
5: Outrun 2 XBOX
what about RE4?
Well... it's took a back seat... Have been studying mainly this week for finals and my total gameplay for the week equates to about 80 mins tops..... /5 games = not much.
RE4 is still on my list, not this weeks however.....
Ah I see it's the top 5 for this week.
I don't think I've played ANY games this week!
Wait a minute, I played Tomb Raider: Legends with my son for about 30 mins.
Gotta play some games at the weekend. Mind you, need to catch up on some coding too...
I haven't played any games this year, never mind this week.
So that'd be just Marvel Ultimate Alliance for me then.
This week Ill be mostly playing
Medal Of Honor : Heroes
Burnout Legends
on the PSP
This week I have been mostly watching snooker.
I haven't even watched enough snooker this week, it's a disgrace. I should have watched some last night but I worked instead, oh well.
Well the semi's on at the moment, and the final is on Monday, so get watching! I'm hoping to see Higgins win it :)
Um... Been coding/playing my own game... Just improved the building shadow system to muchly efficiant use of triangles!
I've been watching quite a bit of the Snooker this time 'round. How long have they been using that HawkEye thingie? Pretty neat, that.
As for games being played - not a lot. The occasional Naked War turn, that's about it.
I've played about an hour of Rainbow Six : Vegas but I'm close to the end and getting cut to shreds in a barrage of enemy gunfire pretty consistently now. That's all I've played in several weeks, let alone one week.
I love PGR2 on the Xbox too. From what Cygnus says, they ruined PGR3 by removing most of the KUDOS system, things like stacking multipliers. That, plus you only have super fancy cars.
I always like to start at the bottom and work up to the fancy stuff in order to feel like I really achieved something.
yeah that snooker zoom in thing is cool. Very next gen. Do you suppose the computer has some AI that recognises the balls and then translates them into the computer simulation and then it zooms in or do you think some poor bugger has to quickly move them round to the right place using an overlay and then press "GO" :-)

heh. :) I don't know, but I figured they have a top-down cam mounted above the table with some image processing software to identify the ball positions. I doubt the software is actually that complex, as it just has to identify regions of colour, against a green background. After that, translating the ball positions into a 3D sim shouldn't be that hard, either.
Evak, I also researched and found they were still in there. I just never saw them.
My experience of PGR3 was s obad I took it back the day after I bought it. I just didn't see what people liked about it, plus it didn't look next gen to me either.
Big10p: Yeah it should be simple but why didn't they do it before? Remember when the commentator used to hand draw a funny white line on the screen :-) In fact remember it in black and white!

*shrugs* That's why I asked how long they've been doing it for. I haven't really watched any snooker for some time.

They're still doing that, it seems. Dennis Taylor can't seem to leave the flipping thing alone. :P

Yep. :) Snooker in B&W - great! :/
Haven't had time for the snooker, I'll make a point of catching soem of it tonight....

In the words of Ted Lowe :
"For those of you watching in black and white, the blue is behind the pink"
:D
Sadly, we didn't get a colour telly until about 1983. :/
haha. Yeah we had B&W for quite a while. My grandad had acolour telly though - great for cartoons.
Yeah they might have done that table zoom in thing last year when I didn't have a TV license.
Anyway watched some tonigh. Good frame with Higgins and Maguire where Higgins won due to Maguire potting the black and white at the same time haha.
