Seems like its a solo project though, and the alpha version which is recommended didnt work, well, for the bloke doing the review at least.

Very ambitious project, and if he pulls it off, it should have MS worried a little, as DirectX10 (IMO) is their biggest advert for Vista.

it's got a perfect chance to work. You can have directx9 games running on linux and mac already so why the big difference with this? It's meerely another software/hardware layer you need to translate. Obviously it's not easy, but surely microsoft aren't fooling anyone saying that "only" vista can use those hardware functions, that's just pure marketing crap. the same crap that says you need vista to play crysis or halo 2. Halo 2's an xbox 1 game for god's sake.
