Achievements, Mistakes and Goals

Just been reading an old thread:-

We're nearly five months into 2007, a quick update me thinks:-

Achievements

1) I've nearly finished a game with Blitz, little tweaking... then an artist is needed
2) I'm halfway though something in XNA, and I'm really pleased with the way its going
3) Getting a letter posted on PC Format about SyntaxBomb and BlitzMax! Topper :D
4) I bought a van! yay
6) Debt... No more (Apart from mortgage)
7) I give someone a job! YAY!!!
8) Qube made me a mod at Syntaxbomb (Very proud of that one)
9) Claimed back £400 from Abbey National in bank charges... The robbing [Insert female genital slang word here]
10) Still supporting the Willowburn Cancer Hospice, and I'm packing bags in Asda tomorrow (Well, its 00:16, but that doesnt count ;) )

Mistakes
1) Giving my old Blitz account away after a little tiff on the forums! (Skid, can you email me about that... thanks)
2) Sold my sunderland season ticket! BUGGER!!!
3) Done two plastering jobs for nothing... The sod had the gift of the gab, and I got stung! Going to court though!

Goals for the rest of 2007

1) Actually hire an artist, their harder to come by than lunar rock!
2) Finish XNA game, and hopefully, sell it...
3) Start playing around with DX10, well, until I get an 8800 GTS
4) Get a Sunderland AFC season ticket for the premiership next year! X <--- fingers (I've been to the Sunderland v Burnley game tonight... CRACKING stuff*! :])
5) Get more work, and why not! :)

So, whats your update?

- Went away for a year
- Met a girl and subsequently got my heart ripped out on Valentine's Day -- booyah!
- Above counts twice
- Messed up my last speech
- Developed an addiction to soda

G
- Drink more soda
- Do more schoolwork
- Get a part-time job
- Meet another girl
- Come up with more goals

I finished my game, and my website.

Site's been open for about 3 days. Game will be peddled to shareware sites within the next few days.

Revised goal for 2007 - try to drink more alcohol. :D

Achievements: Couldn't be arsed to do anything.

Mistakes: Couldn't be arsed to do anything.

Goals: Can't be arsed to set any.


Hmmm...I think I spot a pattern.

that's a great achievement though - I bet you feel great. I felt great after making my site live with Holiday Bonus! then it's just continual improvement and adding new games etc oh and getting TRAFFIC of course.

My goal is to drink less alcohol, I do OK sometimes then I lapse and watch Columbo.

Weird. My goal is to drink more! :P
