Before purchase

Before I buy blitzmax I need to clarify sometjing. What is Blitzmax gui? Is it an alternative version or an optional extra? or what?

MaxGUI is an add-on for BlitzMAX

You have to buy both...

Not entirely true - if you don't intend writing GUI applications then you don't need MaxGUI at all.

But it's cheap, so there's no reason not to have it. ;-)

I would recommend getting both. (BlitzMax + MaxGUI). Although if you buy them separate, there does not seem to be a penalty. So if you wanted to wait and get MaxGUI later, you could.

I would also recommend learning the BlitzMax core language before jumping into GUI stuff anyway.

Is there a specific Application you are thinking of making?
