Well, my dissertation is going to be handed in Thursday (evolution of the user interface and producing a person-centric approach to social services systems) and then I move house on Friday (yes, I'm a masochist) and then I'm freeeeeee!!!! Freeeeee to do whatever I want to do. So I might get back to blitzing some sh!t :o)

thats a helluva week soggy, good luck with your dissertation - I've 3 exams myself in the next fortnight on programming, DBase design and analysis and systems analysis. Stroll on May bank holiday (;-).

I'm just about to finish up my second year at university. I will begin to write my dissertation (technically it's a creative writing portfolio - I'm writing a fantasy novella) over the summer holidays. Hopefully I'll have it finished before the beginning of my final year. :)

Yup, seriously wanky. The Msc is in Advanced IT filled with lots of scrummy subjects like computational intelligence, data structures and algorithms, etc, but I work for social services and, as they paid for me to do the course, I had to provide them with something as payback.

I was tempted to use AI to track down potential sex offenders but ther first prototype just kept saying 'Sniff' and 'Large' ;o)

No sadly, there's little that ties Advanced IT and social services together. Except the User Interface.

Social workers hate using computers and the information they receive from current systems is not complete enough and things can slip through. So I've produced something - using Blitz as a prototyping tool - that gives them a far better, more holistic view of the data.

...and I made that last 30,000 words.
