£

When i first typed the above it was displayed as garbage. It wasn't til I edited it that it actually became a £ sign.

Typed a £ in there, edited my post, and it turned to a diamond with a question mark in it. When I posted it became £.

I see:

Typed a Â*pound-sign-here* in there, edited my post, and it turned to a diamond with a question mark in it. When I posted it became ÂÂ*pound-sign-here*.

I've had this problem for a couple of months here though...

Interesting.

I only noticed it today when I typed a £. Saying that I'm not sure I've ever typed a £ sign before... so it might just be coincidence.

[edit] It worked then. It doesn't always go wrong. When I clicked EDIT tho, the £ signs turned to £ in the edit box.

Bit weird...

Er...

I;m curious - what should I see when I read your post.
I see an 'A' with a 'hat' and what looks like a pretty poor rendering of a pound symbol. Although it doesn't do it in all of your posts?

What the hell? :O

I see it GFK.

Mind you, i'm actually seeing plain £ signs now whereas before they would all have wierd foreign carachtures preceeding them.

[edit] and now mine works? Could it be an encoding problem?

It doesn't seem to work after you edit a post.

£

Hmm.

Type a post with a £ sign in, edit it and it will be preceded with an "A with a hat on" in the edit box. Delete that, just leaving the £ sign, and update post.

Diamond with question mark in!

Seems that the reply box supports UTF-8 character set, while the edit box does not. Strange...

Um, i see all your £ signs with an  on them anyway, bar a couple above. Your last post contains Â's...

A#

Sounds like the char set isnt set up on the server
Im seeing your 'ae' letter as 2 separate chars, (that is if you mean the danish version of 'Ä').

Posting: test from symbols on swedish kbd, in logical order.

SHIFT: ½!"#¤%&/()=?`EÅ^ÖÄ*>M;:_

EDIT: Above symbols are appearing correct here in both boxes.

If it helps :P
