Capcom Classics Collection 2 for Xbox?Or Ps2 Only?

Hello all,

Before saying 'google it' I've looked a fair amount but cannot find quite what I'm after.

I was wondering if I could ask a fairly simple question regarding the release of the game mentioned in the title?

I've read in RetroGamer Magazine that it was due out in February 2007 for both Xbox and PS2. I've seen the PS2 version in my local game stores but, as I own an Xbox it is of no use to me. They (EB Games) tell me that there will be no more Xbox games released in Australia (original Xbox).

If that is the case does anyone know if Capcom Classics Collection 2 was released for Xbox in their own country. If so would a version bought there work on my own Xbox?

I've never seen it, but this site has it listed, in Region One ( USA ) only. I think you would need a PAL version. I'm not positive, but I've been led to believe that European ( PAL ) releases work on Aus PS2's. I'm assuming XBox is the same.

This Danish site has it listed in PAL for the XBox.

So there are three equally likely scenarios that could be at play here:
1) Since the Australian government thinks video games are more dangerous than firearms and/or alcohol, you simply can't get it down under.
2) The guy at EB Games is:
2a) Incompetent.
2b) Ignorant.
2c) Lying.
2d) All of the above.
3) Since EB Games was aquired by GameStop, they've practically stopped selling new games, and no-one in your neighborhood has traded in a second hand copy of said game yet.

Thanks FlameDuck too, I'm beginning to think it is a combination of points 2 & 3 that you mention above (2b/c).

At least it does actually exist though and so getting a copy of it may be possible at some point.
