Forget all those boring shooters, RTS, RPG games!

Someone download the demo and report back as to whether or not the media is protected.

Heh, Puki's taken to chasing buses.

Wonder what it was written in - it uses Opengl.

Yeah I installed this...

It's basically a precision simultion - you have to drive carefully, slow down carefully, open the doors correctly etc.

But I played it rather differently

More evidence that Jack Thompson is a myopic ignoramus. Even if you meticulously design a game to be completely non-violent some clever person is going to figure out how to turn it into a murder simulator.

puki: Ever tried making your own media?

He has but it was 'medi(a)ocre"

Bus Driver requires a PC compatible and DirectX 7 rated graphics card, with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/Vista, DirectX 9, and up-to-date drivers installed.

Would like to see the sales count for that sim, I bet it sells.

Apparently these sort of games are very popular with the Japanese.

Then again, no surprises there.

By the way it took me a good ten minutes to perform the maneuver screenshotted above, and no passengers were harmed in the making of it. Well, only a few. But only a couple went to intensive care.

binman rules - lol :)

Maniac!

'I only have one rule. Everyone codes, no-one quits. You don't finish your game, I'll shoot you myself.'

Speaking of...how's Tank Universal coming along man?

Chroma

Things are starting to get really interesting with TU - all the content's in and I'm going through and hammering bugs as they pop up. If I do say so myself, it's not looking half bad.

However there's still some major hurdles to jump - need to put a front end on it, nail the control issues with a new demo, beta test, website - so still got some way to go.

Oh yes, you're right. It does say it, I missed that.

I wonder why it says you need dx9 then?

Doom3 has DX9 as a requirement on its box too. Its just a friendlier way to let nobodies know what level of gfx card they will need.
