Liberty City vs. Stilwater, the genre saga.

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Liberty City vs. Stilwater, the genre saga.

For all those who played driver shooters over the past couple of years know that ever since the GTA IV trailer a few days ago, I sort of have to say... So far, Liberty City looks almost real-life, just like Saints Row's Stilwater. However, when you compare the GTA series with Saints Row, which city and game look better to you?

To me, I'd say that Liberty City is bigger, and you actually have to unlock certain parts of the city, and there's more transportation choices. However, Stilwater is better looking, it's all wide open, and more interactivity and customization. So, all in all, it seems like we have two tight games here, and seems like like it's a tough call...

link some screenies for us to look at then :)

Saint's Row glorifies the gangs in them. GTA is a farce. The real diference is in how the crime is really shown. People bust on GTA for being a terrible influence, and in a lot of ways it is, but it is also like a good gang/mob movie. You are playing the characters to admire and dispise them at the same time.

I didn't feel that from Saints Row or the True Crime series. I just saw pointless violence.

Granted, I didn't play Saint's Row myself. And I only plated one of the True Crime games for a short time. But I didn't play GTA vice city for very long and I saw it all there too.

Purely visually, I was impressed by the GTA 4 video. However, I haven't been impressed with the visuals of any other 'like' game. Also, I didn't see much in the GTA 4 video that -really- proves that is what the game will look like.

Really. I don't care. Visuals aren't important to me. As long as the game plays well, and looks good enough to absorb me into the game. Then I am happy.
