Hey. I have learned that the Wii is coming out with a new Kingdom Hearts. One with Nintendo characters. Yes, thats right. Mario is on the cover holding a key blade. This game will not only have Final Fantasy and Disney worlds but will have a Mushroom Kingdom.
How well do you all think this will turn out?

Seems to be a joke. Complete bunk. While it might be a cool idea.. It wouldn't happen.
Well.. At least They haven't thought of it. It isn't a bad idea. And Square did Mario RPG which is what paper-mario is based on. So Who knows.
I wouldn't be surprised if they made a game based on this idea. But I doubt it was thought up before it was made up as a joke.
Actually... I know for a fact it is being released. I am a subscriber to EGM and GI. And in EGM it says that it will be released on Wii.

heh - reminds me of the time some mag (C&VG?) had a n article a bout a version of Mario Kart for the original Game Boy - complete with split screen, two player mode!? Think about it! :P

Don't feel too bad. They put a lot of effort into their april fools pranks. And you don't think about it cause magazines come out a month early.
And this one is a surprisingly good idea.. At least in theory.. and a fantastic name "Mushroom Kingdom Hearts".
I could see it being created, e-mail square a lot saying you wanna see it.
Well, it wouldn't be a true KH, maybe a Chain of Memories type of side game... KH is only going to comprise 3 parts (or at least that's the plan) and there's no chance in hell of KH3 being on Wii... Actually if the third game is the last I would hope it stays on PS2.
I doubt it'll be on the ps2. But KH3 should at least be on a play station.
They might release it on the wii ALSO.. but that is unclear.

It won't happen. It has been a cash-cow for both square and disney.
I'd like to see it expand. Kingdom Hearts 3 can be the last only disney and FF one. From there it can expand into the mushroom kingdom, or nintendo in general. It can expand into other areas as well. Various games in general. Other Miramax owned worlds. Other live-action worlds, seeing as the pirates world seemed to work out just fine.
There are so many FF characters left to see... I mean.. crap. Kefka? Or anyone else from FF6 that ISN"T GD Setzer!
Loads of other Final Fantasies.. Loads of other square titles.
The fantasy world of KH is perfect for mashing up just about anything. And the fantasy is loose enough that it could never get old...

It can't be milked forever. It's already almost dead after what they did to #2 (though that's all gameplay faults, no storyline faults).
I can see lots of spin off games, but I hope I don't see a KH12 some day.
