What would you pay?

What would you pay for a second hand BMX+MaxGUI? Original price is $110, would $70 be fair? Would you even buy used software and if not: why not?

I have no problem with used software as long as it's not against the EULA. There are quite a few applications I got 2nd hand. I also like ebay very much for buying 2nd hand games (never got a screwed up one).

If its a download, why would that make a difference? It hasn't been subjected to any 'wear and tear'.

That said, you're going to have to offer people a fair old discount, otherwise they might as well just get it from BRL.

Half price should do it - $55.

...and make sure you run it past Blitz Support first. Don't just hand someone your account details! I flogged Blitz Plus for half the new price a while back.

Of course I would just contact Blitz Support first once there is someone interested. I wouldn't want to run into problems with them. I also don't "need" to sell BMX and MaxGUI. I just don't need them anymore (you all should really try out Objective-C, I still can't believe that C++ is that popular...).

Personally I wouldn't, because I usually want to support the developers of my dev tools, to ensure that my dev tools have a good future, but I'd say GFK was about on the mark. About half price.

I don't really buy second hand software. I can't write it off as an expense, so unless it's ridiculously cheap it's often actually cheaper for me to buy software at full price, and let the taxman pay for it.
