Pocket PCs

Any tips on what I should look at when buying a Pocket PC?
Ideally I'd want something running Windows, with built-in wireless (B or G, doesn't bother me), some way of sync-ing my calendar to Outlook, and to replace my phone for voice and SMS (I'm assuming I just plug in my mobile SIM card?)

Also, what sort of tools are good for pocket pc games development? Would be nice if Bmax if worked on these.

All PDAs that run PocketPC or Windows Mobile will sync with Outlook no problem. The software suite is basically the same whatever Windows PDA you buy. The one you linked it okay, I guess. Without looking round a bunch of reviews I couldn't really give you a balanced opinion.

As for tools, I think there's a game library (called GAP? I can't remember, very long time since I looked into it).

i want an old psion 5/ HPCE palmtop, all these new ones with their fancy handwriting recog are quite useless for typing fast.

Found something about GAPI - seems that the ideal languages are assembler and C on pocket PC for games dev...

I say decide right now if you want a phone with PDA features, or a PDA with phone features.

For development there is also PPL. http://www.arianesoft.ca.
They have a free lite version.

Might be worth looking at.
