Peggle Deluxe - Try this game!

I know you'll be looking at the screenshots and thinking it can't be that great.

But you'd be wrong.

Already downloaded, installed and completed the game :) It's fantastic :)

looks like if you crossed break-out with bust a move.... Is it?

I don't typically play games like this for every long. Unless it doesn't play like it looks like it plays...

Why don't you try it and see! If it played just like boring old break-out or bust-a-move I wouldn't be suggesting it. :-)

Its more like bust a move crossed with a pinball machine.

Pretty good game, I liked it.

Not my cup of tea. I get bored of these things after a few plays through. No variation. Once I've done everything, I get bored of doing it.

But it does look like a good one.

It's not at all like bust a move. Bust-a-move doesn't have gravity, and the ball doesn't bounce around after you shoot it. I find bust-a-move to be incredibly dull.

It's also not like arkanoid. You control the angle the ball goes. Nothing is left up to chance. If you know your angles you can ricochet the ball off one ball and hit another... and you need to do so to be able to beat the later levels as the layouts get more and more complex.

I'm sure I wouldn't go back and play it again after I beat the 45 levels and 75 expert challenges, but I was definitley hooked for the first 25 or 30 levels before my time ran out.

Yeah. I think I'd got to about level 15 or something in the 30-35 mins I gave it.

Don't really agree that 'nothing is left up to chance'. Sure you can aim the ball and stuff, but at the end of the day, nobody can even begin to predict where its going to go after one - possibly two bounces.

I liked how it zooms in when you hit/almost hit the last peg - nice touch.
Crappy how? It worked fine here afaik.

just got a "parse failed" and nothing happens...even windows uninstallmanager cant get rid of it...i had to delete it manually from the disc + startmenu, leaving ugly pieces in the registry behind.
installed it on d:, so probably my fault o.O

THAT is exactly the reason, why i just HATE installers!
i even wouldnt have downloaded this, if it werent sswift who suggested it...

i don't like those games. too casual, too simple, too boring. nothing for me.

I haven't tried to uninstall it yet, but it's a popcap game... They're a welel known company, they make tens of millions of dollars a year selling these game... I'd be surprised to find their uninstaller is crap.

these games are always so well presented :) Hmm as for the game, i wont be going back to it again and again like bejeweled 2

My G/F is up to level 135 on Bejeweled 2.

Well presented, but quite boring gameplay: you can't do anything after clicking the mouse to launch the ball. There is not 'user interactivity'.
Just my opinion of course

I quite enjoyed the game - and especially the presentation - despite the apparent lack of interactivity.

That 60 mins quite flew by.

This game is pretty popular I was gonna review it but the other review on Binary Joy beat me to it, grr ;-)

Ok I tried Peggle. I found the game has too much down time. You shoot a ball and wait, shoot and wait, over and over. There's just not enough interaction. It's like a really bad The Price Is Right game.
