In which way you connect to the Internet and how much costs?
Here in Greece, I am using an ADSL connection (1024 Kbps) and I pay about 40,00 Euros per month

I read that and thought you meant forty thousand. Then I remembered that other countries use the , for a decimal seperator...

I pay £35 per month for a 10 megabit connection.

8mb ADSL, £25/month

1 meg (could have 2 if my line supported it) @ £18 per month. That price includes the wireless modem/router my ISP provides too, though.

ADSL 512kbps (download) 128kbps (upload) 10Gb download limit (or is that 2?? can't remember but never gotten near the limit) 50Mb Webspace at $40 (Australian Dollars) p/month

8192/832 for just under £65 per month. Truly unlimited, without caps or throttling.

Currently on Cable 2048/512 for about £30 a month.

I generally use AOL - for day to day stuff.

I pay £15.99 per month (23.55 Euros or 30.89 USD) - mine is 1 or 2 Mbit (it is being upgraded to 2Mbit for free). I have unlimted downloading. I think it is ASDL.

Same as Matty (512/128), unlimited, 10mb webspace, $AU50 a month. At a guess, that's extremely roughly equivalent to around 30-40 euros?

I think there is not a common place about the Internet cost and its futures. It is a little bit strange because it is not a "physical" product like a car for example where you can buy it in most European (and other) countries in the same price...

If you do you must be living outside the exchange. :)

When I was with Be Broadband the upload was good (I miss that upload bandwidth) but my downstream was terrible. I was about 3k from the exchange and could only get 4-5mb. And that was on ADSL+2 technology.

I'm happy with my Virgin Media (ex Telewest) cable connection. It's a little expensive but damn reliable and I get more that 10mb. it actually downloads at 1.2Megabytes a secomnds.

They're really stingy with their upload bandwidth though.

i get about 2mb download and 256 up. its a tad weak, yes... but I pay about £10- Blueyonder (now known as Virgin)

May cost a bit, but it beats the crap out of having to pay for two seperate phone-lines and a dial-up connection, which is the only other alternative in my area.
(that and it's stupid to split a dial-up connection, this wireless runs fine working for 4 systems using it at once)

Shame that I'm getting half my current capped speed though since my distance is a little far from our ISP's tower, atm it's 1.04mb down, 281kb/sec up, it fluctuates with the weather. ;/
