Dreaming about games?

Sometimes I go to bed and dream I'm still playing a game. Is this normal?

It is, if the game was about nekkid chicks.. :P

I suffer more from the game playing in my head when I go to bed. The first game that did this was Elite back on the Spectrum - I'd been playing it all day and, while completely awake, my brain was playing the game - I could actually see spaceships and stuff.

I've had that with a few games that I have played for hours on end. I don't need to go to sleep and dream - I can do this whilst awake.

It means you've a) gotten deep into the story and/or b) played it too much.

I get it mostly when I'm playing something new. Last night it was Wc3, before that it was f.e.a.r.

i often dream about my game.. how it's coming along, how it's evolving.. damn that i could not write down the ideas i have while i am asleep. in the morning only little is left ;(

while half asleep I used to dream about smash brothers and my thumbs would sometimes jerk to try to hit the controls, thus waking me up. ... I don't do that anymore. You've crossed the line if that starts happening.

Used to get that with Goldeneye all the time.

better than having a dream about being chased and eaten by zombies while you are naked at school, while falling in slow motion,while talking to a dead relative

better not get a wii, can't see the girlfriend forgiving me for practising wii boxing in bed.

i do that too, especially in depth RPGs etc.

I dont think your about to start listening to leonard cohen and start killing people. So dont worry until you start to hear voices when awake or start seeing laura croft everywhere like on the buss :)

I always dreamed about Zelda 1 games, I dint have nes and i dreamed of finding new places to explore.. it was verry good dreams..

Now i only dreams about Kiwatch in oblivion.. running from deadreas..

Cartoon i too can dream about..

And Horror or al horror. like monster movie eating upp me..

Well to defeat those monsters i usalu do a Key O key attack like DBZ.. yes its true.. Watching DBZ made my monster nightmare disapear.. Super saian and all.

Yah, I dream about games sometimes, perhaps seeing them on a screen or even expanding out into `real life size` with me inside them. Once had a dream of a doom-like fps engine made entirely of splines and curves - lifesize.

Actually, the other night I dreamt I was in Resident Evil 4. That was kinda weird...

Yeah i had a WoW dream the other night :/ I was working on a building site, but somehow I knew it was world of warcraft.

Thank god the trial has run out now!

Don't go any further with WoW.

It's worse when you wake up and think you've actually been walking round the same area, killing the same creatures, all night.

When I started playing CS:Source last month and had some really late sessions I dreamt about being in the game. I actually stopped playing it for a few nights trying to stop me having those dreams cause I kept waking up everytime I was killed (I'm still not very good at it :D)

I hate getting killed in dreams, makes me jump up in bed, scared the crap out my g/f though which is pretty funny, till you tell her you just got ganked and you need to get back to sleep to respawn (humm, multiplayer dream CS?) OMG, I'm too nerdy.

Many years ago I was playing Kings Quest III by Sierra, young Gwydion was stuck in the wizard's spell making area and kept getting killed regardless of what I did. That night I dreamt of a possible solution....




...Unfortunately it was so out of context and unrealistic there was no way I could expect the text parser to understand it, and it didn't.

However I did find an interesting problem with the game - if you turned the music off it caused the evil Wizard, whatever his name was I don't remember, to appear more quickly than he otherwise should and you would fail. Made playing the game at night awkward when everyone else wanted to sleep as it used the PC speaker and as far as I remember there was no volume control.

Haha i've had a dream about that very same KQ3 area. But I didn't wanna leave because even though I couldn't see it, I knew the cat was there and I'd trip up.

when I was heavily into Quake and CTF leagues, I used to get that far too often.... Not good!
