John Blackledge Screensaver problem

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/John Blackledge Screensaver problem

After installing the walk in the country screen saver from the Gallery, the logon screen will show up after 2 or 3 minutes of no activity. The first time it did it was the first time the screen saver ran. I uninstalled it and checked my screen saver settings and nothing is set that would cause that. Any Ideas on what the installer changed to cause something like that.
Thanks

Walk In the Country by John Blackledge

First of it was verry fine.. i am using it on my computer.. remids me of oblivion.. and by the way i managed to get to the end of forrest too.. had to walk quiet a long bitt.

To answare your question. yes login screeen will probaby mess upp all your blitz3d screen savers.. its a windows future. turn it of in controll panel.

i thinking of powersave future maby enabled.

if you move around with the keyboard and mouse how long before it switch to login screen ?

if it dosent then iam sure its power saveing enabled. Disable all that features.

As far as I know, his screensaver does not cleanly uninstall - I wasn't too happy that it didn't install completely into it's own directory - it drops itself into the Windows directory and then you must be careful when manually clearing up.

Hi Guys, sorry been offline for a while.

@puki: It has to install there, else Windows 'forgets' that it was installed(?) In other words the .scr has to be be in the Windows folder, just like all the others.

@Wings: Thanks. I think you gave the obvious answers.

I've just done a clean installation of XP with SP2, so no power save features, and all seems fine.

This SS was just a bit of fun; as I said I just wanted to see how many trees and vegetation could be added to a B3D prog. People thought it was pretty so I turned it into a screensaver.

@puki: I just checked again - it _does_ cleanly uninstall.
BTW, sorry there's no new media in there that you probably haven't already got. ;)
