From VOB to FLV

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/From VOB to FLV

Hi,

are there any video pros in here? I would like to know about a working toolchain (which tools) with which you get the best quality/filesize in order to get VOBs (noon protected) read out and get them into downloadable FLVs.

I tried out a few and have something working here but i'm not sure if this could be done better. There are myriads of tools available on windows for this, so it's kind of confusing.

Thanks,

taumel

I really don't know about protected vobs, but have you tried Super? It seems to do... well, pretty much everything.

I don't need to convert protected VOBs, i'm just fine with unprotected. I'll have a look at this one, thanks!

Actually I'll download that myself. Been looking for a way to convert 3GP to other formats, and that program claims to be able to do it.

I've used SUPER - the only problem I ever found was audio and video can lose sync when converting - however, that was converting FLV to normal formats.

Of course you have an alternative - you can upload to something like YouTube as they convert video to FLV - then just download it from their site (as if you were stealing it) - you'll get it back in FLV format. I've not tried to do it as it would probably take ages.

The big problems which i found so far for getting a very good quality lie in the fields deinterlacing, transcoding and mantaining the colourspace. Encoding the FLVs isn't the problem.
