The problem here is - someone in your community is allowing everyone to download full versions of Blitz and updates - plus other software.

You don't even hide this within your forum so that people download via forum logins - you let the whole world download the stuff from a front page.

Please explain.

Remove those links or we remove your forum and everything else.

In fact, why not replace full version links with links of demo versions?

I sniffed all the IPs from their site - going in and out - I own most of them - everytime they connect, I see them. I was constructing a vast ping array cross-fire themselves off the site.

However, links gone - "puki" can't play.

its a real shame...they got such talented people over there, which are creating such cool stuff (ashadow or the ageia phys-x-wrapper for example), but then they're stealing code and products and disrespecting every copyright of others...

another funny thing: there you can/could d/l e.g. sswifts shadow system (a quite old version, but working...) but u CANT download andreymans ashadow-lib...so to me it seems they dont respect any non-russian copyrights at all. reminds me of some chinese actions going on the last years.

I've been watching that lot for several months - they were stealing code from each other - there was more than one faction working on this - I found mutliple systems with the same data which indicated they were stealing from each other.

In Russia full Blitz3D it is possible to buy in shop for ~2 $, you knew about it;)?

The point here is everyone in the World could access those links - they are hosted on a site called 'http://blitz.pp.ru/' which means they are highly visible to anyone.

You lot are not in the clear yet - PeterHost.Ru are looking at how many downloads you had. Your site owner may face severe penalties.

Physical version has a disc and covers + someone has to get them to the shop -> raw material and labour: $2 [and it's still not LEGAL version of Blitz]



Electronic stuff is nearly free to distribute and produce and they probably get ad income for the traffic the warez creates.

Basic "101 how commerce and e-commerce work"...

Here is the hilarious bit though: Some of the Russian Blitzers that access 'http://blitz.pp.ru/' have obviously been opened up by the warez on their systems.

I scanned all of them (via IP) for trojans, black listed USB devices, black listed Net devices, unauthorized applications, security products alerts, FTP vulnerabilities, DNS vulnerabilities, mail vulnerabilities, service vulnerabilities, RPC vulnerabilities, miscellaneous vulnerabilities, registry vulnerabilities, information vulnerabilities, as well as CGI probing.

Some of them are that wide-open you can walk in and get the popcorn out.

Stop Warezing - it is bad for your security.

Mmm, looks like PeterHost.Ru are taking this seriously - they have emailed me some blurb - I don't know what it says but it mentions 'Penal Code of Russian Federation' and stuff about 'Department K' - not sure what they mean - but they mention 'Department K' a lot. Looks like they must have an internal deparment in Moscow called 'Department K'.

Puki - As good as your intentions are, but please keep in mind that all of your scanning activities are also illegal by law in most countries. I don't think this whole subject is worth it that you put yourself in (legal) jeopardy.

This is a battle for BRL's lawyers, but since Russia only has very weak intellectual property laws, it probably won't make any sense to launch a lawsuit against that website.
