....I'm not sure what to make of it yet. Been playing Wii Sports for the past several hours and while its interesting at first, it does loses its wow factor after a while. I dunno, perhaps I'm too burned into the visuals from games like Gears of War, that watching little happy people with no arms seems a bit of a downer to me. The new experience is refreshing, but I'm not sure if I want to wave my arms around for every game I play from now on. I can definately see why this appeals to younger kids and non-gamers. Its quite "neat" as my girlfriend kept saying as she played the tennis game.

I'm looking forward to trying out that Zelda game that every Wii fan has been harping about. And I hear that surgery game is interesting. But as of right now, i'm still eyeing the PS3....

I am however, quite happy that my Eternal Darkness game works perfectly on the Wii....now if they would make a gritty sequal to it on the Wii.... 8)

Definitely rent Trauma Center. Rayman is a lot of fun too, if you have someone else to play it with.

Oh, and Super Monkey Ball is definitely worth renting as well.

In my opinion, one of the Wii's best games right now is Rayman: Raving Rabbids.
It's really weirdly funny... The rabbits are sort of like that Wallace & Gromit film and it's all really quirky in its own way :)

To me, the Wii is like the DS when it was released, first batch of games, ranging from "gimmicky but fun" to "wtf were they thinking when they went to port this crap"......then 3-4 months down the road, some real gems started coming in which made the thing appear in near every household.

Doesn't help that I'm a bit of a Nintendophille (and a cheap gamer) as to why I grabbed me a Wii on launch date though. ;/

Most of my current mileage from the thing currently coming from WarioWare:Smooth Moves (main mode extremely short, but lots of replayability if you like setting high scores), and Virtual Console titles.
(doesn't help that I've already beaten Zelda, Rayman, & Metal Slug though)

Get Zelda. You won't look back at the PS3.

Elebits is worth a rent too. Not a bad game - it's sort of cathartic making a huge freaking mess and not having to clean it up (for once) :).

I recomend you a PS2 with EyToy sports 3

Specialy Home run is fun.
Running and kicking as on the field.
i always fall dead after 1 gour of home run play.

me also waiting for the wii to come to my doorstep

Zelda = awesome

Some people take their Wii with them to the doctors.

Enay- don't you think its time to stop playing around with the old Wii jokes?

Well, i've seen the Zelda Twighlight Princess...and I'm definately still looking at the PS3 (especially after being blown away playing that motorstorm demo...). But I'm going to go rent Elebits and Trauma Center later on today. Looks interesting. Has anyone else tried Call of Duty for the Wii? I know the console ports of the series (aside from the 360) totaly blows compared to the PC...i just wonder how cool it'll be to actually run, shoot, and blow stuff up with the Wiimote..

Lol! Heh, Nintendo definately set themselves up with naming it that way...lol...i'll expect the jokes to continue with the duration of the Wii's lifetime.

You`ve seen Zelda but have you played through it? Looks are not the be all and end all you know. Besides, Zelda is still a great looking game. I`m sure Sony would kill to have a game of Zeldas quality in their launch line up.

Jason.

Are you kidding? That demo was the biggest letdown ever. It was the same thing as ATV Offroad Fury for the PS2 back in 2001 ... only mildly better looking and certainly nothing close visually to a host of Xbox 360 games graphically. Granted if you were comparing it to Excite Truck it certainly looked better but it definitely wasn't what I had hoped for.

Aside from Gears (and maby Lost Planet), it is by far IMHO the best looking visuals for any game I've seen up to date. Of course, I only have 3 360 games cause none of the others really appeal to me anyways. And no, not comparing it to Excite Truck heh...

I just got Wiiplay at Best Buy today which is odd since it was suppose to come out on Wednesday. I'm now ready for table tennis action against any Wii warrior!!

Are they selling Wiiplay bundled w/ a controller like they did in Japan, or can you buy it separately?

And, if you can buy it separately, how much did it cost?

Yep, it comes with a Wiimote controller. I got it for $49.99 at Best Buy. There were actually about 16 of them available (probably just put them out a little before we got there). Didn't see any seperate controllers anywhere though.

I'll be picking me up WiiPlay sometime, mainly for the fact that my local WalMart rarely, if ever, actually has Wii Remotes for sale.
(heck, took me a month since it's launch before I could find a nunchuk for my second remote)

I'd doubt it'd ever get sold separately, supposed to be one of those little games where Nintendo is trying to promote playing with others and what not, and heck, it only costs about $15 more then a Wii Remote..., so I'd think of it as a free collection of minigames with a controller.

Just got my Wii today. Zelda just gets better and better the more I play it and get used to it.

My wii number is 8134 7710 5079 8678 All of you Wii-owners should add me as a friend and so forth.

Grr. That's it. I've got to get one already. Both EB Games
stores in this city have been sold out since launch.

I'm gonna go in tomorrow and say "Gimme a Wii or else!" And
We'll see where I go from there.

...A police car?

Heh, well just spent a few hours playing the Wiiplay with my girlfriend. Gotta admit, even with the corny ass graphics and repetitive gameplay, it was pretty fun when you're playing against someone else.

I thought the pool game was pretty cool and for a second there I began concentrating as if I were playing a real pool game. Theres also a bull riding game which gives you a good example of how the Wiimote can be used for a racing type game. And would you know, theres even a simple Duck Hunt remake on there too...i was instantly taken back to 1985.... Pretty cool stuff...it may cause my xbox 360 to gather dust after all...heh...

Dude, check Circuit City - enter your zip code. There may be one available now. Check here : Wii at Circuit City
