Now that they have lauchned Vista, is it still possible to buy XP? I guess most Sellers are forced to no longer sell XP, but offer Vista only. And: probably (at some point) you can't activate XP any longer even if you have got a valid and unused copy?
Where can I buy XP?
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Where can I buy XP? buy windows? that's a novel concept. (joke)

jfk: XP is still on sale and Microsoft announced that all versions of XP will have "extended support" until at least 2014. And even after that they must provide a way to activate the software. So there is no need to worry, even though they will probably stop selling XP (to end-users) in 2009 (which will be the end of the regular support).
I think they (both ms and the HW manufactures) would shoot themselves in the foot if they stopped selling it now, it means all those brand new computers, motherboards, ram etc they have stockpiled would be operating systemless (well windowsless at least.. dont forget you can still buy many a new celeron/centrino 1600Mhz laptop), which would injure relations between MS and the HW people.... ("YES! Stop selling it M$!!" Mabe manufactures will make more universal hardware instead of cutting corners and stop sucking your big 'WOW').
Although while not on the shelves OEMs will probably still be available fo a while..

I just noticed it is no longer listed as a product eg. at conrad electronics. And a lot of people said Vista's not stable yet. Extended support for XP until 2014 sounds good, thanks.
