Free program to send emails based on a list?

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Free program to send emails based on a list?

Hiya, I seem to be having trouble with my ISP thinking I'm spamming when I send an email to over 20 recipients (I'm trying to email out updates to my framework customers), so I have to go into outlook Express and only send to 20 at a time which is a pain.

Does anyone know of a freeware app that can send out emails one after the other to a list of addresses (perhaps separated by ; like in Outlook Express). This would really help me out thanks!

Hi Grey. I don't think another program is going to make a difference. You'll still get the ISP issues with them thinking you're spamming.

Finding a different smtp server would be the best bet.

Do you have a webserver? Send the mails with PHP's mail() function.

Amon does have a point. Mailing list software will only stop from causing any new problems, it won't undo any previous ones. If your address or domain has been spam-listed already ( it happens without you doing much in many cases ) then it won't help. If the recipients mail provider is just not passing it on because there are more than x recipients - and they haven't blacklisted you - then it will be fine.

I've no idea if it's any good, but this sprang to mind because I remember toying with the idea of using it myself but - like so many things - it got filed under "nice idea if I ever have time to spare".

yeah I'm not blacklisted or anything although sometimes Wanadoo get's blacklisted! Basically they won't pass on an email with too many recipients so an email program will work.

check out the app. $99 for personal edition, $249 business edition. Still would prefer a free one ;-)
