Lots of Blitz Games in Staples
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Lots of Blitz Games in Staples
Is anyone else seeing lots of Blitz games turning up in £1 bargain bins in Staples and other shops? I was out with the kids over the weekend and there was quite a lot of this stuff, mostly Idigicon / Idigicon Maxx games. Just wondering if it's a national thing or just local to me.
It was nice to see various blasts from the forum past decking out the place, I saw a group of kids rush over and start going through full of enthusiasm it was nice to see.

only 1 game here in german inca quest for phones
never see a blitzgame in mediamarkt or other stores
Only Blitz title I've seen recently is
Sudoku Live, and that's on the shelf alongside AAA titles btw, not bargain bin.
(at my local WalMart)
So I gotta give Pls props for that, and this is over in Canada, where I never see indy titles of the sort that ain't already from bigname companies.
I've seen several Blitz games in the pound shop on Saturday.
But yes I often see Blitz games for all in various shops published by Idigicon, which is great for all those authors who wrote games. Shame none of mine are there yet? :)
hey which ones please?
poundland, eh?
I've arrived.
some of your games there GfK?
i don't know but statistically, there's a fair chance.
They used to have loads of Blitz Idigicon games in GAME. Not sure if they still do...
From memory: Sphere Racer, I rembered that in dev, 3D Golf, MAXX (published by Idigicon Maxx I think that was definatly the name of the game),Showcase Pool and Derby Day. Some others not so sure of: Majohng Magic (or something similar), 3D Attack, ANTZ ATTACK or something like it and a few others, a 3D driving/racing game among them I think. They where all selling for £1 a go.

wow OK thanks. I'll have to look into these. I assume they are older Blitz3D titles right?
It tends to be Idigicon stuff in the UK, most of the major toy shop chains seemed to have them.
Oh thanks to GFK, whose "poundland" comment made me LOL for quite a while, still making me chuckle now.

I've seen Idigicon titles in PC World budget rack before, but last time I was in, still looking for Par Fore, it seemed to have been replaced by an entire rack dedicated to Sudoku.
I used to see them in Game, but not anywhere else.
Is it worth me putting these games on my site? Thing is, if they are £1 a go does this mean they seem pretty dated or something or is the publisher or shop just trying to get rid of old stock?
I bought Machines for £1,00. And its really good. (Well I like it), so I would imagine that its just stock they want to get rid of. I got my Nephew Creature Isle for 50p, and thats ok.
And just today I saw Myst IV for £1, and if I had wanted it, I would concider paying the prices on your site Grey. I dont think its a question of dated. Its a question of, if you like the look of it, and you cannot get it anywhere else.

I don't even have a copy of that myself, and I wrote the damn thing.
heh I don't think I have ever seen a game made with blitz on actual store shelves.
