Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/HAve you ever called in sick due to WoW?
Check this article out:
http://www.ezinearticles.com/?Record-Number-of-People-Expected-to-Call-in-Sick-to-Work-Today&id=423711I thought it was pretty funny that huge amounts of people called in sick due to the Wow expansion.
Hmm, well I do play the game a lot, and I'm getting quite into the expansion, but I wouldn't pull a sicky for it. There's far more important things in the year to pull a sicky for :)
yes, well, I've been pulling quite a few hours on it lately as a new player (lvl 29 last night, ding!). But not affecting my work in so far.
I would say it's affected the time I spend on blitz though.
telesto: your webaddress should be www.WoWreducedgames.co.uk ;-)
I love this line right here --> "You can see it in their eyes the next day. They look like they have spent the night drinking or smoking meth, but they actually were up playing video games and downing Mountain Dew," states Kennedy Francis
*edit* on further reading, it would appear this whole article is a joke o_O *edit*
yeah I realised that after a while, it was pretty funny though.
They don't call it World of Warcrack (and Evercrack) for nothing, though...
I must be the only one who picked up just WoW when the expansion came out.......30-days of a full-retail copy of WoW for a measly $19.99..........with an additioanl 14-days stacked on top of that thanks to the $2 trial disc I had earlier. >.>
Regarding calling in sick or skipping school due to an MMORPG, well, hasn't happened to me once in the 3 years I've been playing Final Fantasy XI.
