Great day for some coding...

Hi,

a little bit of time, some wine and a mod player tuning on my headphones (playing NowWhat2 at the moment) and am in coding mood...hmm now let's test something out... :O)

Anyone else?

Coding, yes.

No music because it distracts me.

No drink because its only 2:30pm. Maybe later.

Hey, distracting is the fun here, let the mind spin...i remember some odd Amiga programs which we used the best when boozing a bit! ;O)

Booze and coding don't usually mix very well, I find. Tend to spend the next day removing all the crap code from the night before. :P

I also find music too distracting unless I'm just doing some no-brainer coding.

I guess it depends: Sometimes it's distracting and sometimes it brings you in the right mood to come up with great stuff.

I don't like coding - try to avoid it to be honest. I'd rather play computer games.

In that case, you made a strange choice in hobby, no?

I'm not a huge fan of coding myself - it's more of a means to an end. Of course, I go through phases - sometimes I'm *all* about coding, and can easily spend all day doing it. Other times I'm all about art, or music, or writing, or playing my guitar.

It kind of sucks though, because these cycles tend to come and go before I get anything finished! :)

I tend to suffer from this too. Haven't done any coding in months, now. :/

Well, I was an avid coder in the my Spectrum and Amiga days - I lived for coding and even took the speaker out of my Spectrum so that I could use it all night without my parents hearing it.

I'd rather just play games now. Take it easy. I do plan to take up coding again (as a full-time thing) as a pensioner. I think it would be cool to be an OAP coder.

There's a few OAP blitzers around.

It's great to listen to the SID tune of GreenBeret and let it loop over and over again... :O)

It'll be a coding day for me once my Coldsteel license arrives.
