On the Blitz Coder site there used to be a page that listed alternatives to programs like Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator etc...
It would be greatly appreciated if someone remembers this link as I can no longer find it :(

Inkscape (www.inkscape.org) is a nice vector art program. I heard it's not as full featured as the commercial offerings but I wouldn't know, I've never tried them.
I too would like a nice comprehensive list though, if anyone has a link or is willing to list the alternatives. Thanks.
