Not necessarily. Speilberg prefers to use film, so no doubt they'll be some sort of discussion with Lucas on that one.

Was Atlantis ever rumoured to be one of the possible story lines? Or just a favoured possibilty amoungst fans?

Also, some of the rumours seem to suggest that Indy's ex's might appear, i.e. Marian and Willie (from the first two films). Although these go back to rumours from 2004 up until today, so who knows.

Oh yes, I'd totally forgot about the game. In that case, it's highly unlikely that Atlantis will be used for the film, as it's already been done in a round about sort of fashion.

Last I heard was he was redoing them in 3D. Which would be interesting, but I wonder if Greedo shoots first again.
