Can someone possibly tell me why all of this guys posts appear to me as a dot (.)?
It's really getting annoying. Is this guy just screwing around or have I contracted some weird virus?
Simple and nice version is this:
He has with very delicate and precise words just expressed what he thinks about this community and has also proclaimed that he will leave this community/language and move to another, at least for some time.
Only he, himself can explain why he chose to erase all his previous messages and hid behind a different nick but guesses are that some of them weren't that nice posts in the end. It also could be that he just don't want to contribute with anything in this forum. Be it future nor previous discussions. But that's just me and my guesses.
Easiest thing to just leave this behind is probably just to ignore it/him. The dots will be there but probably sink lower and lower down the forum.
I'm somewhat disturbed at the kind of state one needs to be in to hand edit 563 posts down to a single dot. That almost feels like the tip of a very dangerous mental iceburg.
We'll have forgotten all about him and his antics in a few days. Can't say I've seen him contribute in any positive way to the community, so I doubt there'll be much sleep lost over the issue.
They may all be edited down to a single dot, but I'm still getting just as much out of them as I ever did. Often more.
