A little battleship game!

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/A little battleship game!

I had an idea about a battleship puzzler game!

Download is available in the link below, though, heres the instructions:-

There is a fleet of battleships hidden in the grid, they are either placed horizontally or vertically. The numbers at the side of the grid show how many parts of any ship are hidden (in a row or a column)

The idea of the game is to uncover the battleships in the least amount of clicks as possible, by using the numbers as a guide!

There is only one level on here, as I'm going to make it generate its own later, but for now, how many turns does it take you to uncover all the battleships?

Controls: Erm, the mouse!

P.S. Our lass had a go, it took her 43 clicks to find the battleships!

I just had a quick go, did it in 42 clicks.

Its not a bad idea but lacking something. Almost random clicking was a lil tedious almost immediately. But, since you've not spent a great deal of time on it yet I'll let you off. ;)

lol, yeah, it lacks a lot, though, it does seem like a good basis for a full-blown puzzler! :)

I'm going to make it give you a couple of hints, as in, reveal a couple of squares, maybe a radar thing... Thanks for the comments GfK, lol, I couldnt ask for any more since it only took 30mins to write! :D

hehehe

Agggh... both time 62 and then 80... my chain walking strategy which works soooo well in other games of this type has a need for an upgrade!!!

Cool game! I got it in 24 clicks (hint for players: start with the intersection between two large values and then reason whether it goes up/down/left/right). With a random generator and maybe some tricks to it (expanded gameplay), this could be a neat little puzzler!

Is it anything like battleship the physical game? Same deal only in puzzle form?

I ask, because I hate that game.. it is a waste of time.

But if it has more too it I'll give it a go. But if it is just a puzzle made out of battleship boards like if you played with a person . I'll skip it.
