Too late for that...

Excellent article, Grey!

I'm glad to see that I am following at least 4 of those :-o

lol, oh well guys, here's to2008 then maybe?

..so I have a team for very good Pong game.. :)

I doubt that such articles are really helpful.

Simplified i would say there are those who think that they know anything and are the best. Those you won't convince reading such articles and i suspect they don't read them at all. Then we have those who are doing small steps and are just learning by doing. Those should be reasonable enough, if they are experienced enough for making a game, to also judge what's possible or not.

Moreover i think it's a underestimated way of learning nowadays, getting experienced also by making mistakes. Secondly this is so superficial that anyone with a common sense should come up with this on his own. And those who lack this common sense are likely also not finishing a game...

I liked the article. Unfortunately I saw myself in there too somewhat :)

You have 2 designers, one coder, and a part time artist. You have the staff, in other words, to make Tetris.

Obviously, Tetris is better staffed than my company...Evolved Development Studios. But, we (I) have a cool name, so I figure everything else is cake from there.

CodeD: new sig, so like what are all these character sheets people keep posting anyway?

Oh, that's just my Xbox Live gamertag. You'd know that...if you were on Xbox Live. :P

It shows your rep, gamerscore (mine which is extremely low, because I play casually), and your most recent games, mine being Texas Hold 'Em, Hexic, Burnout Revenge, Call of Duty 2, and Oblivion.

Aha thanks. My knowledge grows (sometimes uselessly) each day :-)

Hmmm.... I cannot take such articles too seriously.
Like you can only make tetris clones as an indy. Get a life.
But larger projects do need to be planned out very well.
But perhaps I'm blessed with a lot of freetime so I could take on those big projects.
