Well... Pukis lightharted thread about smelling like cheese got culled. So who knows.

Maybe its a "Honey trap", they are going to bait us into posting "Off topic", and then ban us all in one go.

Maybe they decided to trust us a bit more to be sensible with our posting, and by now they are already regretting it?

Anyway, looks like BlitzWiki is getting a major reworking. I can't wait to see what's being done!
It wouldn't be too difficult to make BlitzWiki a working replacement (tech-wise) for BlitzCoder. The Wiki way works perfectly for that stuff :)

I can't see it being worth the time spent posting, as they have a track record of moving goal posts often and sometimes on what appears to be a whim here.

One day it's OK, the next day it's not.

It's always going to be a gamble posting anything as long as that situation obtains.

Syntaxbomb is a far better proposition in this respect, and in some others, but I'm trying to keep on topic, so we'll leave the others for now.

BRL are giving chances to other 3rd paty forums by limite off-topic here, that's pretty fair.

Unfortunately, BlitzCoder is dead, CodersWorkshop is shut, what a lose it is.

You could just do some coding in the meantime, stranger things have happened.

I'd proceed with caution on Off Topic - I think it may be some kind of relaxation at Christmas that, if exploited, may be short-lived.

I'm not sure what our official line is yet, but even if it's a free-for-all, please don't clog it up with "I like cheese"-type threads. I would certainly delete those regardless.

I guess every topic may be posted as long as it isn't dumb ("what underwear shall I put on today?") , flamewar ("don't listen to X, he's an asshole") , or garbage ("test1", "test2, "can you read this?", "torrent link for Blitzmax").. etc.

Off-topic seems not to be so attractive to me now, they're fun but I lose the interest and I want to take some rest currently....

The good thing is there hasn't been any real abuse of it (yet) - there was a bit of swearing that was later amended by the poster - other than that everything is tickety-boo.

I think things are going well.

I think most mods are away on crimbo hols, is all. ;)
