AES Encryption?

What possible purpose could that have?

Specifically, would you use an AES cipher to protect your source code?

No. But I'm not really that paranoid about other people reading my source code.

If not, which cipher WOULD you use?

None. But if the AES cypher is good enough for the NSA, it should be good enough for any top secret source code you happen to have lying about.

From what I understand it is not illegal to develop such an application, but it is illegal to export it.

But I'm not a lawyer, so I could be mistaken.
