Are you buying yourself Xmas treats?

I just checked by bank balance - my December wage is in (£1,927.05) plus, I am getting my £1,400+ back from CyberPower for my computer. I am now going to be up an additional £3K+ on top of the £6K I already made in profit this year (just under £10K in profit).
So, I am really thinking about getting an X-Box 360 and a new video recorder for Christmas (the remote on my video is busted).
What treats are you going to buy yourself?
My Christmas bonus from the office this year was an X-Box 360 (we all had one). I'm really impressed with it and it's the best bonus I've ever received (well, apart from the £1,700 I received a few years back).
I'm thinking of treating myself to a new 20.1" WS monitor (I'm using the VGA lead for the 360).
Oh, and my wife an I have jointly bought ourselves a 6ft pool table :) We've got the kids an air hockey table too, so it should be a fun Christmas this year...
My Christmas present this year came from Fujifilm, they trimmed £100 off the price of their FinePix S9600 Zoom.
I'm a very happy bunny as it meant I could just about afford one instead of simply lusting after one. It was worth all the horse trading to get the cash together too! I'll have it fully bought and paid for by the end of the month - priceless! As for the camera, it's a bit of a beast!
2 Other people did well out of this upgrade too. Feels like Christmas to me, as the look on their faces was also priceless, just a very small shame that I did not have the new camera at the time to record it digitally as well as mentally! ;O)
no, bah, humbug!
:-)
Hello.
I bought myself a £6 microphone while out Christmas shopping yesterday. That'll do for now.
Goodbye.
I bought myself a GP2X that is being paid off by being my birthday and Christmas presents for this year and next. :o)
Not quite an Xbox360... but luckily I don't want an Xbox360. ... Not that I'd say no.
Sorry to hear about your CyberPower computer, puki. Always a bummer when things go sour like that.
I bought myself a bunch of computer books for a grand total of $50 (got them at a real steal of a deal!). Other than that, no, probably not. I'm young and I'm poor :(.
I was going to be picking up a license for Corman Lisp but it looks like the evaluation period can be indefinitely extended so I'll be waiting until I need the license (to distribute apps) before purchasing.
I'm buying a wipity wipity and a hapacocoo
I just ordered a mac book pro - I think that'll do me for a few Christmasses.
puki: please explain this word "profit"...I can explain a word called "debt" if you like ;-)
If Holiday Bonus continues to do well on all the portals then *maybe* I'll get a Wii if the missus lets me, otherwise I'll have to settle for a couple of Kung Fu DVDs that I've ordered cheap on ebay, also I might buy a game from BFG for the family to play.
I stood with a
Garmin 60Cx in my hands but decided to wait until my birthday in February when i probably have earned it more...healed my shopping fever with a 4.99 Euro FarCry.
So far my wife has treated ne to NWN2, don't know whether my computer will run it or not yet, however have tried s computer spec checker online and it might not cut the mustard.
I am really thinking about getting an X-Box 360
Want mine?
A Mars Bar, if I'm lucky. :/
Naim CD5i & Epos M22s
Getting a Wii and a handfull of games probably. PC game releases this year (and last year, and the one before that) have been absolutely horrid. The PC is the new Amiga.
Got a new dropleaf table as a christmas bonus :-o
Still, it's nice.
Puki, what products are you selling?
Treated myself a bit early to a new MacBook Pro. As far as treating myself has to go, that will probably have to last me about a year!
Well I might treat myself to a new hammer and a nice pair of bellows since all the evidence suggests that my sister found a blacksmith who was going out of business and bought me an anvil for Xmas. It's small, it weighs a ton and I'm under strict orders not to open it before she phones on Xmas day.
Anyone need any swords sharpened?
For a Christmas treat I bought myself a DVD-Recorder and a pack of DVD-RW's :)
Good bye to VHS, hello to a DVD Recorder land, no more crinkled worn out tapes. Best thing is it supports DivX, so I can fit 13 eps of Stargate on 1 disc, hooray!!
Oooh, a DVD recorder. I might buy one of those instead of a new video recorder.
Mmm.
Get one with a HD. Don't even need the DVDs unless you want to keep stuff. Mine even lets you pause TV so you can go and make yourself a cuppa or raid the beer fridge without having to wait for the breaks (if there are any).
Get Sky Plus.
Me and the gf are treating ourselves to two nights in edinburgh for new years eve! :)
I cannot wait!
Dabz
I'm a getting myself a DreamCast! Always wanted one....now if it would just hurry up and get here....
Bought the Wifey a Pentax K100D digital SLR. I upgraded my 2GB Sansa e series to the 8GB. Oh and the PC upgrade:
eVGA 680i SLI MB
Intel e6600 2.4 Core 2 Duo
2GB Crucial Ballistix RAM
BFG 800W PS
GeForce 8800GTS
Loading up the OS and all my coding goodies now!
I wouldn't class an X-Box 360 as much of a treat.
New guitar, should keep me busy for a while :F
New guitar, should keep me busy for a while :F
Yeah like the rest of your life, but if you already play, you know that.
A Wii Nunchuk!
(after actively looking for one in the mall since the systems launch -.-)
If only I had more cash to treat myself to something with...., would kill for an electric guitar after nawi just mentioned his, getting tired of learning rock/contemporary-songs on an acoustic, just doesn't sound right.
I have nothing (PC / gadget related) planned for myself... it's been busy fall so I just hope to get some R&R and TLC. And kids seem much more important than me these days anyways - getting them the presents they want is my main problem and joy this year :)
